A native of Olympia, Washington, pastel artist Ann Lewis is currently a dual resident of Bothell, WA and Ocean Shores, WA. Ann’s love for art blossomed in an Introduction to Watercolor class at her local community center, where she was exposed to her first formal art instruction at age 40.
In addition to watercolor, she has taken drawing classes and studied oil painting at Gage Academy of Art. Her true passion is pastel and she has studied under Doris Jean Colvin and Susan Glendenning, and has attended pastel workshops taught by Jerri Shrader, Steven Hill, Amanda Houston, and Joe MacKenchnie.
She is currently taking acrylic classes from Dianna Shyne, and also enjoys creating whimsical mixed media painting.
